Big Momma's Ice Box Cookies

Here is Big Momma's Ice Box Cookie Recipe
Makes about 50 cookies.

Cream together:

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 cups plain four
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 teaspoons vanilla

Shape into long roll, wrap in foil, and chill in refrigerator overnight.

If you're in a BIG hurry, you can put them in the freezer for an hour or so. Slice into 1/4 inch thick slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes (for softer cookies) or 12 minutes (for crispy cookies.)
