Hunter Monroe High was born Monday, February 16 at 8:01 a.m. at Nashville's Baptist Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. Mom, baby and big brother Houston (after receiving a gift from Hunter of a new John Deere tractor, some cows and horses) are doing well.
Some background on his name.....
We named him Hunter after Brent's lifelong friend Jeff Hunter. Brent's love of hunting and the H-H combination sealed the deal on the first name.
Monroe came about four ways. Brent's dad is from Monroe County, KY. Brent's great-grandfather's first name was Monroe. Monday was President's Day so Monroe seemed very presidential. Finally we were down to choosing between two middle names and couldn't decide so we wrote them down on two different sheets of paper, put them in the floor and asked Houston to pick which one he wanted. He picked Monroe.
