VIDEO: Do you see your dreams?

"Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth." - Colossians 3:2

"The LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them." - Genesis 11:6

"Then the LORD answered me and said, "Record the vision And inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. "For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay." - Habakkuk 2:2-3

What practice did Michael Jordan apply to help him see his dreams come to pass?

Rate yourself 1-10 (with 10 being the best) in the areas of discipline, determination, practice, obedience and prayer in relation to fulfilling your dreams.

What are the keys in bringing your mind in line with God’s plan for your life?

God, I want to know you more fully. You have given me the gift of access to you through prayer. Speak to me through prayer. Help me stay obedient and determined to follow your will. In Jesus name, Amen.

The importance of muscle’s role for the body can not be minimized. Using a “rope and pulley” system, muscles are the reason why we can move, doing the work of the body. Yet, for many it is an area that is ignored or misunderstood. The idea that a person has to do heavy lifting with weights or a women who thinks she will bulk up and look like a man are common misconceptions. Muscles play such a key role for healthy living, they cannot be overlooked.

There are three types of muscles in the body; cardiac (heart), smooth (organs) and skeletal (bones). Cardiac and smooth are involuntary (we are not in control of their function and movement) while skeletal is voluntary (we do control their movement). Through movement and strength activities, our skeletal muscles can maintain a high, functioning level. These activities improve lean muscle percentage, increases fat burning ability, increases bone strength and helps turn back the clock because it beneficially impacts the biomarkers of aging.

Increasing lean muscle percentage/mass has tremendous health value. As little of space that muscle takes up, a woman never has to be concerned about “looking like a man” when doing basic strength improving activities. Muscle is the only fiber in the body that burns fat so in reality it is a person’s best “fat burning friend.” A muscle that does not move will begin to atrophy so moving it in a way that places resistance on the muscle is an important part of being in good health and staying in good health. Making it part of a person’s health routine will provide a person with excellent long-term benefits.
