“I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” - Jeremiah 32:27 (NLT)

“Now glory be to God, by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” - Ephesians 3:20 (LB)

What does it mean to you to experience the fullness of God’s blessing?

What do I believe God’s dreams are for my life?

How does prayer activate faith?

What type of water does the seed of God’s Word planted in our hearts need to grow?

God, I want to be who you want to be. Show me who you want me to be. Help me not to limit what you can do through me. Help me dream God-sized dreams. In Jesus name, Amen.

Why is food so powerful and involved with the physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual? One reason is since we experience life, both pleasure and pain, through our senses, food can speak to each one of our senses. Sight, smell, sound, touch (texture) and of course taste are all impacted by food. In the physical realm, the purpose of food is simply related to energy (calories), nutrients and healing. But our senses take us simply beyond the physical need, into the realm where it actually becomes a relationship. As is the case with relationships, they can be categorized as either unhealthy or healthy and the obvious goal is for each of us to have a healthy relationship to food. An unhealthy relationship will negatively effect the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our total being.

In relation to cellular health, cells actually have a self-destruct mechanism within a process called apoptosis. But when apoptosis is not working properly, cells can become cancerous and spread to other parts of the body. Studies show that an imbalanced metabolism is a precursor for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as well as many other neural conditions. In order to produce energy to carry out their tasks and also protect DNA from free radical damage, cells need important nutrients. This is why food’s nutritional value is critical to our overall health.

Part of developing and having a successful relationship with food is putting it in its proper perspective. This can begin to happen by putting a stronger emphasis on the purpose of food, the physical and its role in cellular health, as opposed to satisfying the senses by understanding that every time a person eats, it does not to have to be a “party in the mouth.” There are 7 essential nutrients with a focus on the word essential. This means they are not suggestions. These essential nutrients are water, fats, carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, vitamin and minerals. Food is a source for all of these including water. Any meal plan that attempts to eliminate any of the seven essential nutrients should be an immediate red flag since it would not be supporting the body’s design. The good news is a balance can be found between the two, nutrition and taste, as you create your go-to LT360 meals within the proper calorie range.
